We are thrilled to share that The Right Now will have its East Bay premiere next month at the Shotgun BLAST Theater Festival 2016 on The Right Now has been given its own evening performance at the stunning Ashby Stage,
home of Shotgun Players in Berkeley, CA.
This show is a rare and unique opportunity for The Right Now to stretch its legs and present a full-length improvised show. It's also a great opportunity for our East Bay supporters to easily stroll on over to enjoy some improv, The Right Now style!

Femprov Fest April 24th

Thanks to our fans we're on cloud nine after producing another run of sold out shows! 

Lucky for us there were festival producers in the audience for that last show at the Exit Theatre and now we're headlining the opening night of the first annual Femprov Fest! We'll be performing on Thursday April 24th at 7:30PM at the Tides Theatre. 

We're kicking off the festival with two amazing San Francisco troupes, Chick Flick and Un-Scripted Theater Company. Audiences will be delighted by three troupes for the price of one!

Introducing...Claire Slattery

Claire is a professional stage and screen actor and improvisor based in San Francisco. When she is not basking in the Mission District sun, Claire is producing and performing with her improv trio, The Right Now. She also works as a teaching artist with California Shakespeare Theater and American Conservatory Theatre and has served as a corporate trainer with Google, AT&T, Method, and Energy Solutions. Claire serves as the Operations & Communications Manager for We Players, a site-integrated theatre company that transforms public spaces around the Bay Area into sites for immersive theatre.

Introducing...Fontana Butterfield

Fontana is an actor, improv performer, teacher, casting director and coach. After graduating from SFSU with a B.A. in Drama, Fontana went on to complete the two year Meisner training program at the Laura Henry Studio in LA. She is now completing her Meisner teacher training with Laura Henry at Academy of Art University where she also teaches improvisation and acting. She has years of experience teaching, coaching and casting in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco and was a founding member of the award winning improv troupe Big City Improv of which she also served as Artistic Director for three years. Currently Fontana is a company member of the critically acclaimed theater company Shotgun Players and is teaching Improv at Leela Improv Theater and Training Company in San Francisco.

Introducing...Mariah Howard

Mariah's been improvising and playing dress-up for as long as she can remember. She had an extensive costume collection that allowed her to play any character she could imagine, from French novelists to computer salesmen. Now she loves working as a Voice Over Actor, Improviser and facilitator. Mariah's been a part of Bay Area Improv life since 2005 and has been a member of Drunken Monkey Improv, Tilted Frame, and True Medusa. She is currently performing with the all-star team of Leela Theater's The Armando Company. While performing with The Armando Company, Mariah had the bold vision of inviting Claire Slattery and Fontana Butterfield to form an Improv trio with her - and thusly- The Right Now Improv Trio was born. All three women look forward to continuing to delight audiences through out the Bay Area...and beyond!
